“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

9/11

At 8:46 on the morning of September 11, 2001, the United States became a nation transformed. An airplane plowed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, and minutes later a second plane hit the South Tower. Almost 3,000 people were killed. Terrorist. Why did they do this? Why the United States? These acts of murder were intended to, "frighten our nation into chaos and retreat." But as George Bush states, "They have failed. Our country is strong." Bush is absolutely right. Our country is very strong, and even being faced with many difucult things, we've gotten through. So why America? Bush states, "America was targeted because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world." Choosing to destory the World Trade Center was meant to frighten us, make us feel weak, and make them feel like the superior nation. Our country shoed them wrong. Although we will never forget the 9/11, we move forward in hopes to, "defend freedom, and all that is good and just in our world."
